Teresa Scott is a global human resources executive and total rewards expert with nearly 20 years of expertise in shaping enterprise strategies that position employers as coveted places to work and thrive professionally. She partners with executive officers and board members to build high-powered executive and leadership teams, pipelines of succession talent, and business decisions that address the human factor. Her success spans multiple industries, including agriculture, financial services, heavy equipment leasing and transportation, and retail.

Ms. Scott is the Vice President of People Operations & Total Rewards at The Andersons, Inc., a publicly-traded diversified agribusiness, where over the last 21 years, she has navigated the Fortune 500 supporting the organization to earn recognition on Forbes’ list of America's Best Midsize Employers and Forbes’ Best Employers for Diversity, both in 2022. Advising and collaborating with executive officers and the Board of Directors on decisions impacting their top leadership and 2,300 employees, she delivers comprehensive HR strategies and market-competitive total rewards with an emphasis on equitable executive, board, and employee compensation, incentives, and succession planning.

Teresa began her HR career with The Global Growth Group, LLC. as the Manager, Human Resources in 2003 where she managed general HR management duties and payroll. She began her career with The Andersons, Inc. in 2005 where she held various positions within the corporate human resource department before being named Manager, Corporate Compensation in 2010. In 2012, she was named Human Resource Business Partner for the Rail Group. She was promoted to Director, Corporate Human Resources position in 2020. In that role, she led the Corporate Human Resources department. In 2023 she was named to her current role and led a team of 15+ HR professionals. Under Teresa’s leadership scope, she has led the organization’s benefits, executive and broad-based compensation, people operations & analytics and HRMS functions as well as HR business partner support for the company’s corporate functions and executive officers.

Teresa graduated from The University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio, in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a human resource management focus. She earned an MBA in 2008 from The University of Toledo.

Teresa is a member of the CHRO Association, Society for Human Resource Management and World at Work. In the community, she is a member of the Northwest Ohio Human Resource Association and a former board member. She is a current board member for Workspring and a former member of the Workforce Regulations Committee of the Toledo Chamber of Commerce. She has earned a number of certifications including Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHMR-SCP) Certified Labor Relations Professional, and Certified Prosci Change Management Professional.
